Colour of Connection, 2021

This 2021 Color of Connection quilt was my first solids only quilt. And the first quilt where I combined machine quilting with Perle cotton hand quilting. I posted an ‘in progress’ IG picture when I had just finished the piecing and my son immediately texted to ask if it yet had a home. If not, he offered to give it one. Needless to say it, and the scrap pillow, now live at his house. I love this quilt…the colours…the design….and the hand quilting.

Since finishing this quilt, I have continued to integrate hand quilting with Perle cotton into most, if not all, of my quilts. Cirlces have become my favourite design and I now use them as a signature on each of my works.
